Release Notes - June 2026

Modified on Tue, 14 Jul at 1:38 PM

June was all about faster, friendlier interfaces. The Knowledge Assistant now looks great on any device, the Highlighter Extension gained smart, AI-assisted mapping along with a much smoother template workflow, and reporting across the Analyzer got cleaner and easier to read.

Knowledge Assistant Goes Fully Responsive

The Knowledge Assistant now adapts seamlessly to whatever screen it's on, from desktop to tablet to mobile. Source cards have been redesigned, the conversation body has been reworked for smaller screens, and the sidebar now behaves sensibly on narrow displays, so visitors get a polished experience everywhere. The assistant also does a better job surfacing useful answers: it now recognizes and displays actionable contact points, and it more reliably shows rich results (such as FAQs and contact details) drawn from the underlying schema.

A Faster Highlighter Workflow

Working in the Highlighter Extension is noticeably quicker this month. Templates now load without disruptive page navigation, and a new "View Template on this page" action renders JSON-LD right on the current page without a reload. Single-template projects fast-forward straight to the View JSON-LD screen after login, and you can now scroll the host page directly to any selected highlight, eliminating tedious hunting on long or complex layouts.

Other Improvements at Schema App

  • Smarter template matching: the Highlighter's "Existing Templates" list now surfaces templates based on whether their deployment rules apply to the page you're actually on, making relevant templates far easier to find.
  • Bug fix for content previews for manually entered XPaths and AI-generated suggestions in the Highlighter, so selections can be validated reliably during authoring and walkthroughs.
  • Performance Analytics report filters now display human-readable template labels (like "Product Pages") instead of raw template IDs, making reports much clearer.
  • Easier template management: templates can once again be moved directly between projects, and the Share and Clone actions have been restored across accounts.
  • Ongoing behind-the-scenes security and privacy enhancements to keep the platform reliable and your data protected.

In Brief

This month's release focuses on the experience of using Schema App day to day. The Knowledge Assistant became fully responsive and better at surfacing rich, actionable answers. The Highlighter Extension gained a significantly faster template workflow, alongside smarter template matching and more reliable previews. Finally, we continued strengthening platform security in the background.

As always, thanks for building with Schema App. We hope these updates make your work a little smoother this month.
