Indexing Overview

Modified on Thu, 13 Jun at 6:33 PM

This support document describes how to confirm that you markup has been successfully indexed by GoogleBot, and BingBot. This is a critical component to seeing value from deploying Schema Markup to your website.

Google Indexing

This section describes tools and processes for reviewing whether Google is successfully indexing your markup.

URL Inspection

This tool within Google Search Console allows you to review the information Google has gathered by crawling that URL and possibly indexing it. If a page is indexed, you can review the indexed HTML. This can be useful for troubleshooting!

If a page has Rich Result eligible content, then there will be an additional section within URL Inspection describing the features that are valid or invalid associated with a particular URL.

Enhancement Reports

The Enhancement Report is a summary of all the URLs that have been indexed with Rich Result eligible schema on a domain or domain property. Although the Enhancement Report is a subset of data and sometimes lags behind real-time updates, it is incredibly useful for monitoring the health of your schema markup, making improvements, and addressing errors.
