How do I exclude Products with Tags from Collection page markup?

Modified on Mon, 17 Oct 2022 at 10:17 AM

If your Shopify store has Products that you need to exclude from your store using Tags, there is a Settings page configuration that can be used to exclude Products with these Tags from being included in product Collection schema markup. The following document details how to configure these excluded tags for product Collections.

1. From the Shopify admin interface, click Apps.

2. Select Schema App Total Schema Markup

3. Click the Settings button in the top right-hand corner of the page.

4. From the Settings page, navigate to Markup Settings > Tags > Excluded tags

5. Enter a comma-separated list of tags you need to exclude from Collection markup. Valid characters and other information about Tags can be found at the following Shopify documentation page: Considerations for Tags

6. Click Save at the top right-hand corner of the page to save your excluded Product tags.

When will Products be excluded from deployed schema markup?

Your store's schema markup is re-deployed by SchemaApp on a daily basis. Within 24 hours of changing this setting, Products that have any associated Tags from the list you provide will then be excluded from the deployed Collection markup.
